Dataminers note that the upcoming Splatoon 3 will take advantage of Nintendo’s new in-house server system called NPLN. This allows the Kyoto-based company to introduce a new lobby system in the highly anticipated game, which is more flexible and faster than the NEX server system used in Splatoon 2. Splatoon 3’s new lobby system allows players to quickly see which multiplayer mode your friends are playing, and then join them in battle. You can even call friends and let them know you can team up.
