Strange West, the upcoming immersive simulation game from the former shameful developer, postponed to March

The upcoming immersive simulation Western game from the former Shame and Prey developer, Weird West, has been postponed.

Originally scheduled to launch on January 11, 2022, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, Weird West will now be available on these platforms on March 31, 2022, more than two months later. As for the reason, the team at Wolfeye Studio needs more time to make it as great as possible.

“Weird West is a deep blend of impressive action role-playing games and immersive simulation elements based on the Wolfeye team’s experience with Dishonored and Prey,” reads the press release regarding the announcement. “Early feedback is great, but, like any immersive simulation game, there are many variables that can lead to unintended consequences. More time is needed to provide the experience the community expects from Wolfeye and Devovler. The team understands that this may lead to unintended consequences. People are disappointed, but want to make sure that the games they have developed over the years are released in the best possible form.”

Weird West was first announced at The Game Awards in 2019, and it promised a very strange West, including gunners and fantasy creatures. Two years later, one Game informant The editor did it himself and determined that Strange West is a Wild West worth exploring.
