Stylish roguelike card game Iris and the Giant for free on GOG
Iris and the Giant is a stylish, occasionally sad roguelike card game about a young woman confronting her inner demons and shattered memories as she climbs a metaphorical mountain to confront the rampaging giant atop the mountain. When I saw it a few years ago, I really liked its art style, and while card games aren’t really my thing, I found it easy to use and rewarding, even when I got stuck.
If you’re curious, but maybe not entirely convinced, you can now grab the entirety of GOG’s Indie Spring Sale for free.just scroll down Home of GOG A little bit, find the giveaway banner, and claim the game – you’ll need to sign up for the mailing list if you haven’t already, but it seems like a reasonable deal to me.
GOG’s Indie Spring Sale is like most Spring Deals, but as you might have guessed, it’s all about indie games. And some really good deals: Disco Elysium: Final Cut (65% off), Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice (75% off), Gris (70% off), and sable (35% off) a lot, but also a lot of stuff outright cheap.seriously underrated long way home For example, is $1, and Al: Memories of the old days is $1.50. memoryan excellent “classic” point-and-click adventure game for $2, flower is $1, Florence is $2, and Rusty Lake Hotel (I like it) is $1.
Sometimes I think it’s weird that $1 can’t get coffee, but I can get some really good video games for that price — weird, but cool. Regardless, GOG’s Indie Spring Sale runs until April 18th – the Iris and the Giant giveaway ends a day before then, however, at 9AM ET on April 17th.
