Tactics RPG Battle Brothers gets free DLC with dissection and prayer
Of Flesh and Faith is coming to Battle Brothers next month, a free DLC that will add two new origins and a set of activities and equipment to suit both. “These two origins — the Oathmaker and the Anatomist — will be the most detailed origins in the game to date,” says Overhype Studios. “They all have unique mechanics, new gear, new character backgrounds, their own story events, and even a custom banner for each of them.”
While Overhype is working on their new game, it’s something to play for Battle Brothers fans.
An origin, the Oathbearer, will have your mercenaries “follow the teachings of Young Anselm,” fight for justice, and swear to reward and balance disadvantage until you fulfill them. Another, Anatomist, your role as a disgruntled medical researcher who can dissect enemies and “design new ways to empower your man,” which isn’t very specific, but it sounds downright sinister.
We’re big fans of Battle Brothers, a 2017 tactical RPG that puts you running a company of mercenaries in a tragic fantasy world called The Darklands. Our Evan Lahti loved it and wrote an ode to Battle Brothers.
