Tesla may see Steam compatibility on their gaming dashboards in the future, if tweets from company founder Elon Musk are to be believed.
The new Tesla has an AMD GPU capable of running demanding AAA video games, including CD Projekt’s infamous Cyberpunk 2077. The center-dash display in Tesla cars is designed to allow viewing of games and media centers while the car is parked, perhaps, for example, to kill time while the vehicle is charging.

The Steam feature would be a logical choice for building Tesla car gaming capabilities. Peer speculation on PCGamesN Tesla’s use of Linux (possibly due to the gaming rush from Valve’s Proton compatibility technology) as its dashboard OS, and the Model S and Steam Deck’s shared use of AMD RDNA2 graphics, make Steam integration a logical step for the company choose.
For now, Musk’s tweet on the subject is the only official word on any Steam compatibility from Tesla’s dashboard. End users could be a long way from integrating the service into their Tesla dashboards.
