The achievement finally comes to the Epic Games Store next week

It has been more than a year since we saw the first (fairly rudimentary) achievement of the Epic Games Store. As early as July 2020, Ark: Survival Evolved as a beta version of Epic’s launcher function, testing the waters and trophies for all players. Now, a wider deployment will take place next week.

It seems that this will be a gradual process.according to Posts on the Epic website, “Rocket League, Hades, Pillars of Eternity, Humans, Zombie Army 4 and Defense Grid, etc.” will be the first to get achievements, and you will be able to “start to accumulate XP” when you unlock the rewards.

Similar to how it works on PlayStation, awards will be divided into bronze, silver, gold and platinum-the latter is the most valuable. The following is how much XP you will get every time you unlock each reward on EGS:

  • bronze = 5-45 experience points
  • silver = 50-95 experience points
  • Gold = 100-200 experience points
  • platinum = 250 experience points

Epic points out that the achievements of the previous version (called developer achievements) are available before this launch, and it ensures that if the game you have played is switched to a new, more global system, nothing you previously obtained will be lost. “If you have unlocked the developer’s achievements, don’t worry-your hard work will not be lost,” the site explains. “If a previous game using developer achievements integrates the new Epic achievement system, the progress will continue and you will automatically get account XP.”

So when can you expect other achievements for games on the Epic Games Store? “We are working hard to make these tools available to more developers, so you can expect to see Epic Achievements appear in your favorite games later this year,” said the platform owner. “As we launch new social features and player rewards later this year, please pay close attention to the more updates you have been waiting for.”

Earlier this year, we saw that the Epic Games Store finally allowed developers to publish their own games and released a series of new updates that will be launched for the platform this year and beyond.
