The Elder Scrolls 6 release date

The Elder Scrolls 6 has no release date. The only thing we know is that it’s definitely coming after Starfield. Bethesda director Todd Howard said it’s still in the design phase, which is one of the first stages of game development.

Bethesda is busy with Starfield. However, Howard assured fans that work on Starfield also crossed over to The Elder Scrolls thanks to their shared engine Creation Engine 2. Some were hoping for an early 2020 release, but considering StarCraft won’t arrive until 2022, it looks closer to the middle of the decade.Game Industry Insider Tyler McVicker Even tweeted that he expects it to arrive no later than 2027.

To be fair, Howard said they plan to make The Elder Scrolls 6 a game that lasts 10 years. Making such an enduring game is no easy task, and the production itself can take a long time.

Skyrim has apparently remained relevant throughout the console releases, basically being a bestseller for everything it’s released — a trend that’s continued since its launch. In that sense, Howard and other Bethesda executives hope The Elder Scrolls 6 will follow in its footsteps.
