The new Rainbow Six extraction trailer shows more operators before being released in 2022
Rainbow Six extraction may have been postponed until 2022, but this does not mean that Ubisoft is slowing down its marketing. The new trailer for the co-op siege and spin-off premiered yesterday during the live broadcast of the PlayStation Showcase, and you can watch it here.
The beginning of the trailer shows a fragment of the opening movie set to extract the world. If you have never played the limited-time siege event based on Extraction, let me keep up with your rhythm: an alien parasite crashed in New Mexico and began to infect humans, creating annoying alien zombie monsters, I have forgotten the correct name (oh yes, Archæans). We played Extraction for a few hours a few months ago and liked it very much, but I like the slow pace.
For those of us who came to Extraction as Siege players, you will also be interested in seeing more gadgets in the new trailer. We see that Nomad’s Airjabs work in much the same way as they did in Siege, except that the giant aliens that hit it were staggered rather than completely knocked down.
Tachanka is also on the list, but interestingly, only in his pre-rework state with a deployable turret. In a game where players can constantly find you through the walls, a fixed turret never makes much sense, but it seems to be able to fight against AI zombies running towards you like a bunch of idiots. I also discovered an IQ that I am pretty sure of. Her gadget in the siege is a handheld scanner that can see electronic devices through the walls. This doesn’t sound very useful in Extraction, so it may also have some adjustments. Pulse is in a similar position to the heartbeat sensor. In Extraction, it just detects the nest generated by the enemy.
“Rainbow Six Extract” was originally scheduled to launch this month, but the recent delay has pushed the date back to sometime in January 2022.
