Tonight during the 2021 Game Awards, Bungie showed off the upcoming trailer Destiny 2 expansion, Witch queen.
This is the sixth expansion of the game and the fifth year of expansion. It will revolve around the witch queen and antelope’s sister Savaton. You will remember that the latter is the opponent of the “Destiny 1” expansion pack The Taken King.
The expansion pack will add new content throughout the game, including new missions, PvE locations, PvP maps, player equipment, weapons, and new raids. There are four more planned seasons to keep you busy.
The Witch Queen has an area called Savathun’s Throne World, where there are new Lucent Hive Guardians, they will use the Holy Light against you, they have their own Hive Ghosts. Therefore, they will be something to contend with.
You can expect some new weapons to deal with them, such as the War Blade, which is a melee weapon. In order to obtain it and some other new weapons, you will use a new crafting system. You will be able to forge all witch queens and seasonal weapons, and the system will be more versatile than the Umbral system-it even allows you to find specific privileges.
The new content will include the legendary mode, which has some nice rewards, and can be played with the team or by yourself, with zoom difficulty.
Witch Queen was originally scheduled to launch this year, but it was postponed to early 2022. It is now scheduled to be released on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Stadia on February 22.
