Ubisoft details animated shows for Splinter Cell, Far Cry and Blood Dragon

Netflix and Ubisoft have learned more about the upcoming animation project on the streaming platform. Sprinter cell, a far cry,and Captain Laserhawk: Blood Dragon Remix.

Unsatisfied with taking over the video game / TV market with The Witcher and Castlevania, Netflix is expanding into the nerd world with more shows based on Ubisoft IP.

First, Splinter Cell’s animated show tracks the abuse of old, annoying Sam Fisher. The tweets embedded below show more or less what we know about the show so far, but they do a great job of setting the tone, right?

I first heard about this in July 2020, when it became clear that I had a serious talent. This series is written by Derek Corstat, the author of John Wick’s film series.

Next up is Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix. The show removes Far Cry’s spins and fills the synthwave-inspired universe. Adi Shankar (Executive Producer of The Gray, Dredd, and Netflix’s Castlevania) will lead the project, stating that it spans a myriad of Ubisoft IPs.

“Ubisoft has allowed us to create a new universe that acts as a’blood dragon remix’for all Ubisoft properties,” Shankar wrote. Tweet.. “Captain N: Gamemaster, but good .. Or think of a Bootleg Universe short film without piracy!”

Finally, there’s news in Far Cry’s anime series. A game-based “adult animation series” will soon be available on Netflix, but that’s all we know at this point.

There’s a lot to digest, but it wasn’t born overnight. This collaboration has been going on for some time. I first heard about companies working together in 2016.

These new shows were announced as part of. Netflix Geek Week, I also heard about The WitcherCon and found out more about The Witcher Season 2.
