UK December 2021 chart: Nintendo Switch is again No. 1 selling console

Brick-and-mortar game tracker GfK Entertainment publishes weekly UK sales charts, but that’s not the only thing they do. Sales figures are also released each month, which also includes a graph of the month’s top-selling video games. For example, the UK sales chart for December 2021 published today.

They also provided hardware sales figures showing that the Nintendo Switch was the No. 1 console in December. The Xbox Series S and X consoles came in second, and the PlayStation 5 came in third. According to GfK’s panel, “It’s been another huge month for the Nintendo Switch, with console sales up 6% from November. Thanks to the major Black Friday event surrounding the new Mario Kart 8: Deluxe bundle, 11 Month is already a big one for Nintendo’s machines.
