Valve is ramping up Steam deck production as Q3 pre-order emails come out this week
Good news for those who are still waiting for them steam deck (opens in new tab) Bookings appear in their inbox. This week, Valve will begin sending out pre-order emails to customers for the third quarter. If you’re a Q3er like me, we’ll probably be getting a Steam deck for our dirty hands in the next few weeks. Fingers crossed.
valve posted in Twitter (opens in new tab) The last email for Q2 has been sent, and the pre-order email for Q3 will be sent out on June 30th. If you’re one of the lucky ones receiving this email, you’ll only have 72 hours to complete the transaction, and it’s wise to double-check your shipping address and payment information.
Importantly, Valve also said that it will start shipping double the number of Steam decks every week after today. Valve’s Lawrence Yang explains Twitter (opens in new tab) “In the first few weeks, we shipped x items per week to customers; starting this week, we’ll ship 2 items per week.” Valve is ramping up production so more people can reach the deck.
Valve also recommends that if you’re still waiting for the Q2 pre-order email, give it some time or double-check your booking status (opens in new tab) (login required) on the product page. If you somehow missed the ordering window for Steam decks, you have a grace period of a few days to order your decks.you just need to go to support page (opens in new tab) For use with Steam decks.
The steam deck has gotten some new update (opens in new tab) In the past few weeks, things like an adjustable screen refresh rate, a lock screen with passcode entry, and an updated Remote Play. I’m excited to start getting some emulators up and running on them. It’s been too long since I played Final Fantasy Tactics.
