VentureBeat’s Jeff Grubb says E3 2022 digital event is “a mess” and “may also be canceled”

You may recall that a few weeks ago, ESA confirmed that “Due to the ongoing health risks surrounding COVID-19 and its potential impact on the safety of exhibitors and attendees, E3 will not be held in person in 2022”. You may recall that the ESA did not confirm that a digital-only event was taking place. Well, we may now know why this is happening.

Jeff Grubb of VentureBeat has uploaded a short video to his YouTube channel. In it, he talks about E3 2022 news. Not only was the E3 2022 digital event “a mess,” according to Grubb, but E3 2022, he said, “may also be canceled,” digitally speaking. If it did happen, Grubb said things would “limp” to it from other events, like the Summer Games Festival.
