Having a baby is wonderful when it’s not the most tiring, life-changing thing you can do to yourself—and even then, you only remember the wonderful bits. When your child smiles at you for the first time, it’s not a build-up of chi…that’s awesome. When your kid says “dada” not as part of a string of totally random sounds…great. When your kids laugh at you because you do something, they just laugh at you…so good.
As I said, it’s not always wonderful. Waking up four times a night…not wonderful. Standing in a stressful position, holding the hand of a small child trying to walk…it’s not great (but it’s fine). Constantly tidying up stuff that never actually gets tidy up…isn’t wonderful.
But if there’s one thing that can be summed up in having young kids, it’s this: Saturday at 4pm. If you’re a parent, it’s basically night time. It’s a little too early for dinner, but you at least know it’s fast, and then it’s not far from bedtime. A sweet release for bedtime. Anyway, you saw a chocolate shavings just landed in the gap of your shirt. Since that dinner is a few minutes away from us, you’d like a small snack. Um! chocolate. But you have forgotten, just for a moment, that you have a child.

That’s it. very good. listen to this.

You think the best game is one genre, but it turns out to be another
This is the subject of episode 18 of VG247’s Best Gaming Podcast Ever. Here’s a rundown of who chose what.
Tom – Bugsnax
Look. A lot of you are going to be like “It’s not really a different genre, is it?” To which I said, “Pfft.” If you haven’t experienced the horror of Bugsnax, you can’t comment on it. simple. Painful. If you don’t plan to play the game yourself, the PlayStation Access video above explains it all well.
alex – cruel legend
It seems like the obvious choice – because it is. But honestly, who cares? Brutal Legend is definitely the best example of a game you think is one thing…but it turned out to be something else. Publisher EA is partly to blame for that, too — nearly every marketing beat for the game sells it as an action-packed hack and slash game set in a heavy metal world. That’s it…for a while.
But halfway through Savage Saga, it reveals the secret of the Ace of Spades: it’s not just an action game inspired by heavy metal album covers, it’s also a real-time strategy game. Soon, you’ll join hordes of armies in wild battles, battling demons, and fighting for the fate of a world made up of Ozzy, Lemmy, and other metal superstars. This is awesome – even when hard-switching to RTS it puts off a lot of players.
Connor – Dead or Alive Xtreme 2
Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 is a pervert game, but I don’t know I swear. I swear to god I don’t know. I, a pure 13 year old, thought I was buying a cheap fighting game. So what if there’s a bikini on the front and how do I know it’s porn porn? The guys at GameStation made me buy it, and when you think about it, it’s their fault.
If you like beach volleyball, it is said to be the focal point of the game. Your aim is to form friendships with various women to improve your overall performance in seaside sports. You can also play tug-of-war and “butt fights” by the pool, but you can’t even parry the impending butt blast, and honestly, what’s the point. Believe it or not, you can also race jet skis. In fact, it’s one of the game’s main selling points, according to respected DOA historians.
While it does have a casino, which is fun, the games are nothing like what I expected. In hindsight, I probably should have thought of a thought-provoking genre-bending game, but the moment I saw the podcast’s brief Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 was the only thing that came to mind. sorry.
