Weekend Warriors – Welcome Back
After a long hiatus, the Weekend Warriors are back and ready to ring in the best time of the week: the weekend! This game informer The crew is busy with various exciting recent releases, such as Horizon Forbidden City, Dying Light 2, and Lost Ark. Let’s hear directly from some of the staff on how they plan to spend the long holiday weekend.
Jill Grotte — With amazing game releases around and absolutely beautiful weather, this weekend is sure to look good. I plan to explore every inch of the west of the Exclusion Zone, looking for new ways to dismantle large machines and see if I can spot any familiar landmarks in San Francisco where nature has reclaimed. I’ll have to find some time this weekend to continue filling out my Pokémon Saga: Arceus Pokédex, because despite its flaws, I love being able to go out and find my favorite wild creatures. But I better hurry because Elden Ring is only a week away!
Brian Shea – This weekend, I will continue my Dying Light 2 journey. I’m still early, but I’m having a good time. As much as I’m interested in Horizon Forbidden West, I’ve recently realized that I only need to focus on one big open game at a time or I’ll never be able to finish any of them.
Andrew Reiner — For the first time in three years, I hang out with my board game group on weekends. We’ve played Unfathomable and I highly recommend this game if you like the betrayal mechanics. We’ll see how much time we have, but the plan is to play all of these games: Captain Sonar, Forgotten Waters, El Dorado, Tyrants of the Underdark, The Captain is Dead, Nemesis, and Eldritch Horror.I’m also looking forward to reading the latest issue of Donny Cates Hulk and Thor.
Alex Van Aachen — My wife Kayla and I love reality shows. Like, it sucks.we’re halfway there love island Season 6, so far, has quickly become one of my favorites. Callum and Shaugna’s relationship is a roller coaster, Paige and Finley are the cutest couple since Jack and Dani in season 4, and narrator Iain Stirling is as amazing as ever. What if you are Undergraduate, Love is blindeven circle, you need to watch Love Island (UK). Be sure to start with season 4, then season 6, and if you’re interested in watching this TV show’s trash fire, you’re in good company.
Kimberly Wallace — I’m going to watch the finale at the end peacemaker, which was fun and much better than I expected. Beyond that, with the completion of Horizon Forbidden City, I’ll finally be in Dying Light 2. Oh yes, read some comics!i love new she-hulk and Hawkeye: Kate Bishop series.
Wesley LeBron – It has already started. Can you smell it? We’re a week away from the release of From Software’s Elden Ring. I won’t be playing games this weekend. I don’t watch TV. I neither eat nor drink. I will meditate and prepare this mortal vessel called Wesley to make it bleak. This is my destiny. I have to prepare not only my soul, but also my mind, not only my mind, but my brain. I can do this. I will do it. I become Elden Ring.
John Carson – We’re coming at the end of the second month of the year and I already feel like I’m catching up. This weekend I’ll be exploring the highest level content in Lost Ark and jamming some matches in The King of Fighters XV. I’ll also be drafting more of Magic: The Gathering’s Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty myself, either through Magic Arena or sitting in the in-game store. We’ll see how adventurous I want to be. Neon Dynasty is a complex and fun design that I can’t stop thinking about and has inspired a ton of creative games. When I’m not gaming (or when I’m playing) I plan to catch up on the latest always sunny seasons, maybe a few episodes peacemaker For good measure.
What game are you playing this weekend? Have you picked up Horizon Forbidden West and are ready to explore with Aloy, or are you buffing your soul skills for the upcoming and impressive launch of Elden Ring next week?
