Hello weekend. I miss you.
It’s time to wash off weekdays, throw some buddies, grab some snacks, support those tired feet, and play some games. That’s what we’re trying to do anyway.
It’s true that the usual chores and socializing will be part of our time this weekend, but we still have enough time to play some games.
On weekends, join the OSF, shoot the bad guys, take care of the islands, hike and build cities. You may strive to survive being eaten by cannibals.
It sounds like a very wide and diverse weekend. Anyway, this is what we are playing this weekend.
Dorrani Williams, Video Producer – Scarlet Nexus, Valorant
This weekend I’m going to rush the second playthrough of Scarlet Nexus.. As Yuito has already finished the game, I would like to see the story from a different perspective than the other main characters, Kasane. The cutscenes are long, but thankfully I can skip most of them this time and get directly to what I like best: combat.
Also I’m back Brave Recently. The riot is celebrating the first anniversary of the game, and I’m very happy that the game didn’t die in the first year. I wasn’t a sniper when the game was first released, there have been a lot of changes, but hopefully I can steadily return to diamonds. I wish you good luck!
Rebecca Jones, Guide Writer — Short Hiking, ACNH (as usual)
A little personal news: Monday will be my last day at VG247, so this is my last weekend feature! But I don’t go that far. After a few days off, I’ll start a new job at my sister sites Rock, Paper and Shotgun.
RPS is a PC game site. Under the terms of the new deal, I think I’m still allowed to play games on other platforms, but this weekend I’ll spend some time on what I’m doing nostalgic. Sure, it’s been my favorite console-only game for the past year.Of course it means Animal Crossing: New Horizons, I wrote extensively during my tenure here.
I plan to play between my first Bugoff in the summer of 2021 and my 57th KK Slider Concert (very close to the next Nook Miles stamp!). Short hike.. I recently remembered this lovely indie game (probably healthier and chillier than ACNH). Since then, I’ve been hungry for a while in the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful environment of Hawkpeak State Park.
I sat down almost once in December and played A Short Hike first. That day, I immediately decided to work here at VG247. There was only the last section left, but sadly I didn’t return to that section after that one marathon session between the Christmas season and starting a new job. So I reinstalled it yesterday, but it makes sense to finally take Claire to the top of the mountain and make my time go around completely here.
Stephany Nunneley, News Editor – Dark Alliance, The Forest, Foundation
I have three games I want to play this weekend and I’m trying to decide which one to allocate time to.
First, Dark alliance It was just released this week. It’s available for my Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership, so I thought I’d try the sub with other friends. I’m very interested in trying this game and as a D & D geek, I’m really interested in the settings given that it’s Icewind Dale. In addition, Drizzt, the humorous Drow from R Salvatore’s book, will be featured in the game. Do you guess who I will play as? The party of four also consists of his companions Catti-brie, Wulfgar, and Bruenor Battlehammer, who are not leaning forward. But there is no Drizzt yet. Some of my friends aren’t as interested in the fantasy genre as I am, so I’ll see if all four can play.
There is a steam summer sale, so I finally bought a bullet bite Woods.. It’s been on my wishlist for years, and I don’t know why I’ve been waiting so long to buy it because it was sold before. Do you know. Maybe I was too busy with the popular games Lotro and Age of Empires 2. Anyway, I’m really enjoying the survival game, so I’m sure it will launch at some point on the weekend. This has a terrifying side.
Another game I would like to try is to find time to play. Foundation, I bought it during the sale. I don’t usually buy games in Early Access, but it’s so popular that I wanted to trust the masses and get into the game early. My interest in medieval city building games is the focus on “organic development”, monument construction, and resource management. In it, you are tasked with building medieval settlements, managing managed resources and increasing population. It also features story events, quests and missions. Sounds fun to me.
Tom Orry, Editor-in-Chief – Prodeus
Prodeus It first appeared a few years ago as another growth trend for retro-inspired shooters. I completely forgot, but it became a game pass (game preview format) for PC, and the opening level was blown up.
I had a great time. That’s exactly what you’d expect from an FPS with the power of the latest PCs, with the old-fashioned Doom overtones. It’s fast, bloody, and a lot of fun. By the end of the first level, the music was pumping, the enemies were getting thicker and bloodier. So far, it’s very good.
It’s a kind of eclectic mix. Speaking of playing games, what do you start this weekend? I want to know.
