Would you vote for these video game presidents?

Today, the United States voted for its next president. Is it too late to change our vote on one of these five video game presidents? Which of these fictional commanders-in-chief would you vote for?

President Adam Benford in Resident Evil 6

political history: President Benford, aka President Evil, is close friends with both Leon and Sherry; Sherry even calls him Uncle. Benford helped recruit Leon as a U.S. government agent. In Resident Evil 6, he tries to do the right thing and tell the American people the truth about what’s going on in Raccoon City, but ends up with his lust for human flesh and a fatal case of a bullet going through the brain.

dispute: Cannibalism. Can we really trust a cannibal president?

Solidus Snake in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty

political history: You think Obama is the 43rd President of the United States, but according to Metal Gear, it’s George Sears, the third “perfect” clone of Big Boss. Sears fought in the Liberian Civil War as a teenager and was elected to the White House in 2001, making him the youngest person in history to be elected president. The Sears administration was characterized by its stance on nuclear disarmament and anti-eugenic policies. He also likes swords and cybernetic octopus arms.

dispute: Confusing backstory. Should we be proud of Sears’ crimes, or should we be ashamed of the fact that he was associated with vampires?

Michael Wilson from Metal Wolf Chaos

political history: In the near future, the United States will face civil unrest and economic turmoil. Some countries try to break away and protect their own interests. The only way Michael Wilson — a descendant of Woodrow Wilson — could handle this is any honorable president: He jumped into combat armor and liberated each state one by one.

dispute: health care. Throughout the game, Wilson was skeptical about his stance on the state of the U.S. health care system. What is he trying to hide?

President Ronnie from Bad Dudes Vs.Dragon Ninja

Political History: One thing we do know is that Ronnie’s security is a bit bad. It takes two really bad guys (also known as White Pants and Green Pants) to rescue him after he is kidnapped. Doesn’t he have a Secret Service? Anyway, after he’s rescued, he’ll invite you out for a burger. Look, he’s just a normal guy like you and me.

dispute: Hamburger. Do you want us to get fat, Ronnie? Maybe he should be running on an organic, soy-based veggie burger platform.

John Henry Eden in Fallout 3

political history: After the nuclear holocaust, John Henry Eden rose to establish order in a chaotic wasteland. Eden often talks about how he will rebuild America as a great nation through his radio monologue. Of course, it was later revealed in the game that Eden was actually an artificial intelligence program installed on a pre-war supercomputer, based on a combination of the personalities of the former president of the United States.

dispute: Actually, we can’t think of one. This could be the perfect president.
