Wu-Tang Clan Outfits, Emotes, and More This Weekend’s Top Fortnite

Epic Games has announced that its next music-inspired collaboration will be through Wu-Tang Clan.

This weekend, April 23rd at 8pm ET, the collaboration will feature two outfits in the Battle Royale Item Store, along with emotes, sprays, new loading screens, banners, and more. As you can see in the image below, the collaboration is very focused on Wu-Tang Clan’s style, not necessarily individual members of the famous hip-hop group (though playing RZA or someone else one day).

The two outfits coming out this weekend are the Throwback BG and BRITE skins, each with matching accessories. The Throwback BG bundle includes the WUWEAR Worldwide Back Bling, but you can also purchase the matching Neck Protector Pickaxe. Back Bling responds to music, and Pickaxe responds to clicks. Both come with a Ruckus Red alternative.

The BRITE outfit includes the Wu-Tang Represent Back Bling, and to complete the outfit, you can also pick up the Triumphant Tagger Pickaxe. Back Bling reacts to music, and swinging the pickaxe creates a trail of paint as you swing it. Both come with a Ruckus Red alternative.

The Fortnite Item Shop will also offer the following items:

  • Shimmy Surfer Glider
  • Wu Rao
  • Wudang is forever

Throwback BG Set (includes WUWEAR Worldwide Back Bling) and BRITE Set (includes Wu-Tang Represent Back Bling) can be purchased individually or together in the Wu Wear Bundle. This bundle also includes Wu-Tang hand emoji and Wu-Tang style loading screen.

“Next Protector Pickaxe, Triumphant Tagger Pickaxe, Shimmy Surfer Glider, Wu Wrap, and Wu-Tang is Forever Emote are available individually or together in the Wu Wear Gear Bundle,” Epic Games said in a press release. “This pack also includes Wu Boom Box Spray and Wu-Tang Clan Banner.”

On top of that, Wu-Tang apparel includes a capless style that showcases the costume’s hair. Additionally, in honor of Wu-Tang’s partnership with Fortnite, the Wu-Tang Clan is creating special Fortnite Wu-Tang costumes, including authentic versions of in-game costumes, which will be available at 8pm ET. “Fortnite has been in my house for years,” said Wu-Tang Clan member RZA. “It’s been fun and joy to watch the game evolve while being the go-to pastime. This collaboration is multi-generational ‘drip’ and cool. Fortnite and Wutang could be Fortangerous if you’re telling the truth…”
