Xbox cloud gaming and remote gaming landed on Windows 10 PC

A new update to the Xbox app on Windows 10 PCs now allows you to stream console games from the cloud or the console.

As a result of the Xbox application update, Microsoft has opened up a new method of remotely playing console games on Windows 10 or later PCs. This includes support for playing Xbox Game Pass games from the cloud, as well as playing games directly from your console via Xbox remote games.

With these new updates, you can now play some of your console games on various PCs, even those that do not have the specifications required for certain PC games. Streaming the game via the Xbox app also allows you to play the game without having to install it on your PC.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members in 22 countries/regions can now play Game Pass games directly from the cloud in the Xbox application on a Windows 10 PC. Game Pass members have been participating in the Xbox cloud gaming beta through the browser on mobile phones, tablets and PCs, and now they can get all the benefits of the game from the cloud directly from the Xbox app.

Playing games from the cloud will allow you to continue playing the game you have been playing or try a brand new game before deciding whether to download it to your console.

To access games from the cloud on a Windows 10 PC, you need an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership and a compatible controller, such as an Xbox controller, Sony DualShock 4, Razer Kishi, or other controller. After opening the Xbox app, you will click on the “Cloud Game” button and select a game from your Game Pass library to start the game immediately.

Microsoft has also added some new features to help you get started, including information about the controller and network status, game bar integration, social features, and the ability to invite people (even those on the cloud) to join the game.
