Xbox Game Pass subscription failed to meet Microsoft’s goal

Microsoft has yet to achieve its growth goals Xbox Game Pass Membership number. The company had hoped to achieve a substantial growth of 48%, but failed to achieve a growth of 37%.

This is the year ending June 30, according to AksiosThe reason why Microsoft set such a high target is that it was encouraged by its performance in the last fiscal year, where Game Pass subscriptions increased by 86%, higher than its 71% target.

In recent months, Microsoft has been vigorously promoting Xbox Game Pass, offering discounts, expanding availability, and wooing large and small developers to publish their games to the service. Just this year, we saw the release of Outriders and Back 4 Blood.

Xbox Game Pass user growth is also the only game indicator in Microsoft’s executive payment plan. In other words, CEO Satya Nadella and others may miss the bonus due to poor performance.

Although Microsoft no longer announces hard numbers, it is believed that Game Pass currently has more than 18 million members.

Catch up with the latest version that will be released in Game Pass for the rest of this month.
